Oslotankar / Oslo thoughts

Sitter i Oslo en regnig lördagsmorgon, dagen efter kollationeringen på Västanå teaters nästkommande uppsättning. Kände att jag behövde skriva ett par rader på bloggen, ett tag sedan sist, och hade kanske hoppats på lite fler betraktelser och berättelser från er. Men jag är oerhört glad för alla jag fått så det är absolut inget gnäll från min sida. Ska snart iväg och ta bilder på en nära vän för boken jag skriver om masker och ansikten. Det är en regnig morgon, grå och lite ruggig. Funderar mycket kring detta projekt. Maskernas Resa.... hur otroligt spännande det är och att det kommer på något sätt bli nästa bok i serien om masker, identitet och berättelser. Framförallt är jag så överlycklig över att det är så många som sagt ja redan. Halva nästa år är redan bokat, plus 3 till som inte bestämt månad än. Det är fantastiskt, kunde aldrig drömma om ett sådant gensvar, och vilken underbar blandning; - skådespelare, dansare, musiker, författare, konstnär, mimare och kompositör ... Kommer att bli en så spännande resa Nu närmar vi oss maskernas första riktiga resa, men innan dess skall den andre masken färdigställas. I veckan kommer en ny film om hur björken blir till mask. 

I'm sitting in Oslo a rainy saturday morning, the day after our first read through of the new production at the Vastana Theatre. I felt a need to write a few lines on the blog, it's been a few days since last, perhaps I had hoped that there would be more stories coming in from you, but please don't missunderstand me. I am so grateful for al that allready has been sent here. I am soon about to go and take photos of a dear friend, photos for the book I'm writing on the subject -masks and faces . It's a rainy morning, grey and chilly. I.m sitting here with my cup of coffee and are thinking about this project, The Journey of the Masks.  I am thinking about how exciting all this is, and that this project will become next book in the serie of books on the subjects - masks, identity and stories.  I am so happy because more than half next year is allready booked by diferent artists that wants to have the masks for a month. January through May is allready booked , and there is 3 more artists interested but haven't choosen month yet. It's just wonderful, I couldn't dream of such an responce !

I am so thrilled by the mixture of artists; -  painter, musician, dancer, writer, actor, mime actor .... it will just be so interesting to follow the journey of the masks, that soon will be starting. Before that the second mask needs to get ready. The first film on that will be coming this coming week, the film on the transition from a piece of Birch into a mask.
