
... It's time to really get serious in making that second mask. It's soon time to send them out and they must be ready by than of course. The difference this time is that one mask allready excists, so the second one has to be able collaborate well with the first one. Another difference is that this time I will use birch wood instead of the alder tree. This wood is more white , acctually my personal favourite wood for making masks in wood. very soft to cut in and hard when dried. In the springtime you will get a nice shower from the sap of the birch while cutting it. The sap from the Birch tree is a very healthy drink, and can easily be collected in a cup from just a cut through the bark. I can tell you that the taste is great, like very fresh water spiced with some taste of birch.
